Responsibilities
* Lead with technical acumen and experience in delivering a best‑in‑class risk‑based Process Safety Management system at our UK COMAH site in Newquay.
* Manage, own, and drive the Process Safety Management program implementation, KPI’s and continuous improvement action plans including sustainment actions.
* Take an active hands‑on approach in leading, coordinating, and managing all process safety assessments including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and DSEAR.
* Support and help integrate Process Safety into the daily routine of operations, including leading related incident investigations and managing the Process Safety critical devices maintenance program.
* Ensure operations comply with relevant process safety legislation including ATEX, COMAH and PSSR.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in Process Safety Management.
* Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, chemical or process engineering (or equivalent).
* Facilitated multiple process safety risk assessments and helped develop safe operating practices to support plant operations.
* Proven technical leadership and experience in a previous COMAH site or equivalent.
* Developed and delivered process safety training programs for staff; acted as a coach, mentor to department leaders and associates.
* Led investigations into process safety incidents and ensured compliance with all relevant process safety legislation and the Cytiva PSM standards.
* Chartered or working towards chartership (IChemE or equivalent).
* In‑depth knowledge of UK process safety regulations and risk assessment approaches.
* Strong communicator with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
