We are seeking a highly autonomous and technically accomplished Fire Design Consultant to join our expanding team on a 100% remote basis. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage a diverse, high-value project portfolio spanning fast-paced commercial developments, complex residential Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), and technically demanding, mission-critical data centre. Operating with complete regional flexibility, you will act as the leading fire expert on multi-disciplinary design teams. You will take ownership of projects from RIBA Stages 2 through 6, developing innovative, performance-based fire strategies that balance architectural vision, operational reliability, and strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Fire Strategy & Design
Collaboration & Client Advisory
Virtual Integration: Work seamlessly via remote channels alongside in-house Mechanical, Electrical, and BIM/Revit teams to ensure active and passive fire systems are fully coordinated.
Authority Liaison: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for local planning authorities, building control bodies, and fire brigades to secure project approvals.
Peer Review: Conduct technical quality assurance (QA) checks and peer reviews on fire safety strategies and risk modeling packages generated across the wider consultancy.

Varied Project Exposure: Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience within a UK building services consultancy or specialist fire engineering firm, with a demonstrable track record handling residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Direct data centre experience is highly advantageous but not strictly mandatory if a strong technical foundation in complex HVAC/suppression systems is present.
Code Proficiency: Comprehensive working knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Part B), BS 9999/9991, and a solid understanding of the Building Safety Act framework.

Professional Registration: Active membership with the Institution of Fire Engineers (AIFireE or MIF ireE).

True Remote Autonomy: 100% work-from-home model with zero mandatory office attendance, backed by a complete home-office techsetup.
Market-Leading Salary: Highly competitive base salary mirroring top London brackets, plus a comprehensive corporate benefits package.
Diverse Portfolio Stability: Exposure to recession-proof data centre pipelines alongside premier commercial and residential developments.
Professional Progression: Dedicated funding for annual IFE memberships, ongoing CPD courses, and structured mentorship to achieve or maintain Chartership (CEng).
