Our client is seeking a talented and driven Exterior Lighting Project Interface to lead and manage exciting lighting projects from conception to completion. Position Details:
Contract Duration: Until 23/12/2025 (with potential for extension)
Salary: Up to £280 per day
Hours: 35 hours per week (hybrid but have to come onsite whenever is required)
Travel: Frequent worldwide travel required
Driving License: Full clean UK driving license requiredWhat You'll Do:
As the Exterior Lighting Project Interface, you will be the key player in ensuring successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Budget Management:- Ensure projects are delivered within allocated budgets.
- Collaborate with Lighting FM and SET Leads on budget control.
Project Releases:- Control functionality integration into vehicle projects.
- Collaborate with the Integration Manager and Lighting Engineers to plan integration points.
- Ensure timely release from outsource suppliers using Bentley systems.
Project Steering:- Present technical topics to drive internal decision-making.
- Report on PEP & Lighting Timing requirements, leading risk management efforts.
- Resolve technical conflicts with SET Leaders.
Development & Further:- Oversee effective timing plans and V&V test plans from outsource suppliers.
- Manage conflicts and ensure adherence to Bentley processes.
- Work with SET Leads to implement design and cost changes.
Obligation to Contribute:- Assist with budget planning and R&D performance monitoring.
- Maintain professional and respectful interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
Who You Are:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
A proven track record in successful lighting project management.
Extensive experience in the automotive engineering design environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
A willingness to travel globally.Essential Knowledge:
Knowledge of engineering and project management principles.
Proven experience delivering vehicle systems/features to target specifications.
Familiarity with requirements management and systems engineering.Qualifications:
Higher Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
