We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Band 6 Staff Nurse/ODP to work within Ophthalmology scrub theatre team at the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC). Ophthalmology experience is essential with at least 2 years scrub experience as a band 5.
The NTC-H is a new purpose-built centre which provides care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. The Centre is located at the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.
There are 3 dedicated Ophthalmology theatres delivering high volume cataract procedures and other Ophthalmology specialist procedures
The role would involve scrubbing for all types of Ophthalmology Surgical procedures. The successful applicant will form part of a dedicated Ophthalmology team delivering a high standard of care.
The successful applicant will be required to support the Ophthalmology theatre team aspiring to deliver best practice while supporting service delivery. They would also be required to support senior members of the team and deputise in their absence.
