Mental Health Support Worker — Oxford, £14.25 - £16.00 per hour
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to join our team in Banbury, providing high-quality support to adults with mental health issues. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals to manage their mental health, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. Your experience in the health and social care sector, combined with your common sense and ability to work flexibly, will enable you to make a positive impact on the lives of our service users.
Responsibilities
* Provide emotional support to adults with mental health issues.
* Assist with daily living tasks and help individuals access community resources and services.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised support plans tailored to each service user’s needs and goals.
* Experience of working with housing issues, benefits, and key working is highly desirable, though not essential.
* Demonstrate flexibility, creative thinking, and responsiveness to the changing needs of residents.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in the health and social care sector, preferably with adults who have mental health issues.
* Good ongoing regular availability and ability to work flexibly.
* Strong commitment to providing high-quality support; common sense, a non-judgmental approach, and willingness to learn and develop skills are essential.
