As a Veterinary Care Assistant / Receptionist, you will be an integral part of the practice team, working alongside our Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Nurses, and Student nurses to provide exceptional care to our patients.
This role is mainly reception-based but may occasionally involve assisting Vets and Nurses.
1. Provide a gold standard service to our patients and clients.
2. Follow cleaning protocols to maintain cleanliness of the clinical environment.
3. Prepare and maintain medical equipment.
This position involves working 40 hours a week, including some weekends, based at our Wem practice.

Role Accountabilities:

* Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
* Support operational procedures.
* Provide patient monitoring and care, including walking, toileting, and feeding.
* Ensure completion of all pre- and post-operation activities.
* Assist with patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense medication under veterinary guidance.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Experience working as part of a team and building positive relationships with colleagues.
* Ability to provide exceptional care to clients and patients.
* Strong client care skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own workload.
* Flexibility and willingness to learn.
* Understanding of regulation and compliance importance.
