As a key member of our team, you will:
* Work directly with farmers and land managers to develop high-quality project proposals
* Provide advice on conservation, land management and access and engagement
* Assess applications and present recommendations to the Local Assessment Panel
* Monitor project delivery and report progress to Defra
* Support harder-to-reach applicants and facilitate group or cluster applications

Qualifications
* Experience in agri-environment schemes and upland land management
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially with farmers
* A pragmatic, detail-oriented approach and excellent report writing skills
* A good understanding of the challenges and opportunities in protected landscapes
* Experience in farmer group facilitation and access or engagement projects would be an advantage.
* Access to a car or access to a means of mobility support to meet the travel demands of the post (if driving must have a current valid driving licence and appropriate business insurance) is essential.
