Vision for Education are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant on a full-time basis for a SEN school, in Crawley, to start ASAP.
About The Role
Do you have a talent for building relationships and breaking down barriers? Are you looking for a new opportunity to support pupils with regulating their emotions and accessing their learning? Want to work as a Behaviour Support Assistant?
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will support in class, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis, using behaviour management skills to help pupils manage their behaviour and support their learning. Pupils are aged 4-11, some with EHCPs for SEND and/or SEMH needs, including Autism or ADHD.
We seek someone passionate about creating engaging ways to support pupils and make school a safe, positive, and enjoyable place to learn.
Requirements
* DESIRED: Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Level 2/3 Early Years Educator
* DESIRED: Able to drive
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour (preferred)
* Confidence in behaviour management to de-escalate threatening or aggressive behaviour
* Ability to mentor and deliver educational packages to pupils
* Resilient, empathetic, patient, and able to handle challenges professionally
