Project Management Degree Apprenticeship (Band 4-6 Progression) West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust
Do you want a career where no two days are the same?
Are you curious about how major construction projects come to life? Interested in managing budgets, solving problems, working with designers, engineers and clinicians, and helping create environments that improve patient care?
We're seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to join our Estates Development Team as a Project Management Degree Apprentice. This is a unique opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining a degree qualification whilst developing practical experience managing healthcare construction and estate improvement projects.
From refurbishing clinical spaces and delivering cutting‑edge healthcare facilities to supporting our vision for future healthcare services, you'll be involved in projects that genuinely make a difference to patients, staff and communities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertake a structured apprenticeship programme whilst developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to manage capital projects within a healthcare environment.
Working within the Estates Development Team, the post holder will support the delivery of capital investment programmes and estate improvement projects across the Trust. Through a combination of workplace learning, formal education and practical project experience, the post holder will progressively develop from supporting project delivery activities to managing delegated projects under the supervision of senior colleagues.
The role will provide exposure to project management, stakeholder engagement, construction procurement, contract administration, healthcare planning, governance, risk management and financial control.
As competence is demonstrated and apprenticeship milestones are achieved, the post holder will progressively assume greater responsibility for project delivery, ultimately managing delegated capital projects in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
