Behaviour Support Assistant - Education and Training - Milton Keynes
The role offers valuable experience working with vulnerable students, aiming to increase their engagement, attainment, and life chances, and to prevent involvement in the criminal justice system.
You will collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and various social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas. Some children and young people may have experienced adverse childhood experiences; your role includes identifying their risks and needs and escalating concerns when necessary. Many face barriers in life and are at higher risk of negative outcomes. You will play a key role in providing consistency and equipping children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident in their ability to succeed.
This position offers excellent practical experience with vulnerable, hard-to-reach students, ideal for those pursuing careers in outreach, non-profit organizations, or aspiring Probation Officers, Prison Officers, and Youth Justice Workers.
