Programme Information
You will join as an Industrial Placement Student (IPS) as part of the Investment20/20 programme. This 12‑month placement offers hands‑on support to two core teams in the London office: Client Relationship Management and Credit Research. During the term, you will also gain exposure to departments such as Fixed Income Trading, Investment Operations, Business Development, Compliance, Human Resources, and Macro Research & Investment Risk Analysis.
Our trainee position is a fixed‑term contract paying £32,000, with private medical and dental insurance, 25 days annual leave, and a hybrid model requiring a minimum of three days in the London office (Tuesday‑Thursday) at 77 Coleman Street.
Client Relationship Management Overview
The Client Relationship Management team delivers superior service to meet client objectives. Relationship Managers advocate clients’ interests, serve as the primary point of contact, and conduct investment review presentations to retain accounts.
What to Expect
* Support London‑based Relationship Managers with institutional clients such as pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, wealth managers and global financial institutions.
* Manage client relationships across Europe and the Middle East.
* Communicate with investment, marketing and business development teams.
* Work on ad‑hoc projects to enhance the client relationship proposition.
Credit Research Overview
The credit research team provides independent, forward‑looking assessments of credit risk across investment grade and high‑yield sectors. Analysts contribute to sector teams offering market and research insights.
What to Expect
* Support analysts in fundamental industry and issuer credit research.
* Build and maintain financial models, including projections.
* Assess credit risk and understand relative valuation and financial markets.
* Source and analyse industry and ESG‑relevant information.
* Communicate with investment teams, including research and trading.
Skills and Requirements

* Good organisational skills; able to multi‑task and meet deadlines.
* Self‑starter who can work independently.
* Can‑do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
* Strong oral and written communication.
* Proficiency with Excel.
