Overall Purpose of the Role
To carry out all cleaning duties as required by your Line Manager and in accordance with the work schedule for your area. You will perform these duties in a professional manner and strive to exceed customer expectations, never over promising or under delivering.
You will be working Monday to Friday, on a permanent part-time basis, 17:00 to 19:00, 10 hours per week.
Candidate shall be flexible with the working hours.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
1. To ensure that all cleaning tasks carried out in accordance with NHS Cleaning standards or equivalent.
2. Dusting low & high, vacuuming & washing down all areas
3. Cleaning of any glass partitions
4. Spot cleaning upholstery, curtains & carpets
5. Cleaning of offices
6. Cleaning of Toilets, Bathrooms, Shower Rooms & Basins
7. Restocking of all soaps, handtowels & toilet paper
8. Emptying & cleaning of waste bins
9. Cleaning of dining rooms, tables & chairs
10. Cleaning of Clinical areas
11. Cleaning of therapy rooms
12. Cleaning of corridors
13. Cleaning of bedrooms (where applicable)
14. Regeneration of food & cleaning of the regeneration trolley (where applicable)
15. Cleaning of the kitchen & all equipment within the area (where applicable)
16. Arranging for trust staff to clear cupboard floors allowing cleaning
17. Removal & re-hanging of Curtains allowing Trust staff to Launder
18. Where agreed litter picking & Sweeping of external areas
19. Dusting low & high, vacuuming & washing down all areas
20. Cleaning of any glass partitions
21. Spot cleaning upholstery, curtains & carpets
22. Cleaning of Clinical areas (Surgery / Dental/ Chiropody etc.)
23. Cleaning of offices
24. Cleaning of Toilets, Bathrooms & Basins
25. Restocking of all soaps, handtowels & toilet paper
26. Emptying & cleaning of waste bins
27. Cleaning of corridors
28. Cleaning of the kitchen & all equipment within the area
29. Arranging for trust staff to clear cupboard floors allowing cleaning
30. Where agreed litter picking & Sweeping of external areas
31. To be courteous to staff, visitors, Service users & team members
32. To take responsibility for all, consumables, equipment & machinery used
33. To ensure you are present in your place of work at all times.
34. To develop a good knowledge of the unit you are working on to enable efficient working practices
35. To understand the units working pattern so you do not conflict with the units daily working pattern
36. To uphold the company core values at all times
37. Attend all training courses as required by the company
38. Comply with all company policy, procedure and training at all times.
39. Comply with uniform policy at all times to include plain, closed toe shoes.
40. Comply with the company social media policy at all times.
41. To maintain company, patient and client confidentiality at all times.
42. To carry out any other reasonable requests from the company.
Experience
43. Cleaning experience within a healthcare environment desired but not essential as full training will be provided.
