GSL Education are looking to appoint a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work in inclusive and supportive schools across the Mansfield area. As an SEN TA, this role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the education and development of children with SEND. Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, both 1:1 and in small groups. Assist the class teacher with planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs. Support the development of pupils’ communication, emotional regulation, and life skills. Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised learning interventions. Candidate Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, etc.). A patient, calm, and empathetic nature. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
