* Outstanding classroom practice with a proven track record in teaching and learning in English. A strong understanding of the new GCSE requirements, as well as Functional Skills qualifications, will be advantageous.
* Passion for reading and proactive promotion of literacy.
* Strong understanding or willingness to learn about alternative provision and experience working across the secondary age range.
* Desire to support young people with the vision and confidence to motivate, challenge and support.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring high quality teaching of English and Literacy interventions at Key Stages 3 and 4 for our learners in Secondary Pathways and, potentially, across the school. You will role‑model and support quality first inclusive teaching and good practice. Working closely with young people, their parents/carers, local agencies and other professionals, you will foster a love of learning and form positive, inspiring relationships. You’ll be expected to be proficient in adaptive teaching strategies and up‑to‑date with SEN best practice in teaching and assessing students, and you will be an excellent team player.
