We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Drake Hall, a women’s closed prison located near Eccleshall in Staffordshire, housing approximately 340 female inmates.
Hours and Salary
Hours:
• Monday – Friday 7.15am – 5.15pm
• Weekends 7.30am – 5.30am
• Every other weekend
• 4‑week rolling rota
Salary: This full‑time position offers an annual salary between £33,232 and £40,211 per annum, full‑time equivalent, depending on experience.

Main Duties
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and conduct reception screening.
* Deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care, listening to and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders.
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
* Share knowledge, skills, and experience to ensure safe care and build strong multi‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse – Adult (NMC).
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
* A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
Experience in hospital, community or prison settings is desirable but not essential.
