This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a meaningful difference. About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will provide essential 1:1 or small-group support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure that students are supported both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored support to students in and out of the classroom Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Use a range of strategies to support positive behaviour Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes student confidence Provide feedback on pupil progress to teachers and SENCOs Help develop students’ communication, social, and life skills Job Requirements: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based preferred) Understanding of a range of SEN and inclusive education practices Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate resilience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A recognised support qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) is advantageous Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD, etc. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
