Job title: Production Lead

Responsibilities
* Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with JM policies, safe systems of work, and zero-harm focus, while maintaining ISO, quality, and environmental standards.
* Deliver production schedules efficiently by maximising resource use, ensuring team competence, monitoring KPIs, and driving improvement across people, efficiency, engineering, and technology.
* Lead and develop a team (approx. 6 staff) through effective performance management, training, permit control, and adherence to Life Saving Policies and Management of Change.
* Drive LEAN implementation, lead Root Cause and Quality projects, support CAPEX improvements, and coordinate 5S and problem-solving activities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications
* Proven leadership experience in complex environments, with strong understanding of operator skills, performance metrics, and implementation of LEAN methodologies including root cause analysis.
* Educated to degree level (technical/scientific/business) or NVQ Level 4+, with postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a chemistry/technology/scientific discipline.
* Strong technical competence in Microsoft Office, quality systems (ISO9001/14001/15001), CoSHH, chemical and environmental awareness, hazardous signage, and Health & Safety risk assessment.
* Proven leadership and decision-making skills
