We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced RICS registered valuer to join our commercial valuations team based in Bristol as a Surveyor. The post holder will contribute to growing the Commercial Valuations business, building client relations, and working with the existing department Partners to expand the team. Our Bristol-based Valuations team covers the entire Southwest and South Wales region, reporting on a wide range of properties including commercial investment properties, operational assets, residential developments, and mixed-use developments.

1. Work within the existing valuation team in Bristol, providing valuations for financial reporting, loan security, and other valuation needs.
2. Conduct inspections, calculate floor and site areas, perform comparable, demographic, and economic research, handle planning and statutory inquiries, analyze company trading, read and summarize leases, review development and option agreements, and prepare valuations and development appraisals.
3. Contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities within the Commercial valuation sector.
4. Assist in delivering major projects.
5. Prepare financial and client reports.
6. Deliver valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS standards.
7. Participate in developing and implementing an effective profit centre business plan aligned with Carter Jonas' vision.
What does it take to be successful?
You should be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer with strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. A good understanding of relevant legislation and local market insights to identify growth opportunities is essential. Travel will be required, and a driving license is a must.
