About The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Administrator to join our team at the Ringmer Depot in East Sussex. This pivotal support role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of training, competency management, and administrative processes for the East Sussex Highways contract. The purpose of the role is to provide high-quality administrative support that enables our teams to maintain the highest standards of skills, safety, and compliance. You will be the go-to person for coordinating training activities, managing documentation, and supporting essential operational processes in a busy depot environment.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the management of competency training for the East Sussex Highways contract
* Managing the training diary and ensuring delegates are fully prepared ahead of courses
* Organising training groups, issuing invitations, and tracking attendance for mandatory training
* Supporting the Observation triage process to ensure observations are appropriately tracked and closed out
* Booking CITB testing and supporting the overall CSCS certification process
* Providing general administration support, including taking minutes of meetings, typing, photocopying, and printing
* Co-ordinating training groups and preparing rooms ahead of training courses
* Undertaking any other ad-hoc admin tasks as required by your line manager
Who we're looking for
We are seeking a motivated, practical, and professional Administrator who thrives in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will have:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills with excellent timekeeping
* The ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team
* High levels of computer literacy
* A proactive, honest, reliable, and professional approach
Previous experience in a similar administrative or training support role would be advantageous, but the right attitude and organisational ability are equally important.
