Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for politics, policy, and the built environment? A leading public affairs consultancy is seeking an exceptional Account Director to join their growing team and lead high-profile client accounts across the real estate, infrastructure, and planning sectors.
About the Role:
You’ll play a central role in advising clients at the heart of the property and development world, helping to shape the future of our cities and communities. Working alongside a dynamic and experienced team, you will lead accounts spanning major regeneration projects, strategic land, housing, and commercial development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the strategic development and delivery of public affairs and stakeholder engagement campaigns
* Advise clients on political risk, planning policy, and community engagement
* Build and maintain relationships with senior political, media, and industry stakeholders
* Provide strategic counsel to developers, investors, and built environment leaders
* Oversee and mentor junior colleagues, ensuring high-quality output and professional development
* Drive business development through networking, proposal writing, and pitching
What We’re Looking For:
* Significant experience in public affairs or political consultancy, with a strong understanding of the UK planning system and built environment sector
* A deep network of political and industry contacts, particularly in local and regional government
* Strong knowledge of housing, regeneration, and infrastructure policy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distil complex policy issues for varied audiences
* Experience managing clients and projects with confidence and autonomy
* A collaborative, proactive and commercially-minded approach
