Trainee Machine Operator
We are a UK leader in Vehicle, Signage and Display solutions, with a fantastic list of loyal clients from local SMEs to large nationals and we are looking for a hands-on person to run and maintain our large format printers and assist in the operation of our CNC machinery.
Your Role
Once trained you will be in charge of operating and maintaining large format printers, this includes multiple roll to roll printers, a digital stationery printer, and two sheet-based flatbed printers.
In downtime between operating the printers, you will be required to work within our factory learning and assisting with the operation of our CNC machinery to cut and process raw materials for sign making.
You will need enthusiasm and desire to learn and develop quickly. You will be passionate about print and sign making. In return, Digital Deadline offers on-the-job training and the opportunity to grow.
Within this role in certain instances overtime will be required when necessary.
Responsibilities
* Daily running of 2 large format printers
* Maintenance and daily upkeep of all equipment
* Maintaining stock levels of all necessary materials and consumables
* Liaising with production manager to ensure correct stock levels of materials for upcoming work
Must haves
* Punctuality & flexibility
* Desire to learn at fast pace
* Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Driver's License (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
* Effective time management
Schedule:
37 ½ hours per week
Monday – Thursday: 8.15 – 5pm
Friday: 8.30-4pm
Overtime dependant on workload
Education:
* At least 5 GCSE's
* A-Level or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Preferable experience but not essential with the following Software/Hardware:
* Adobe Illustrator
* Rasterlink 5 or above
* Onxy Postershop
* Efi Print software
* Epson SC S80600
* Mimaki UCJV-160
* Liyu Platinum QCut
* Xerox copier printers
No prior experience essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Salary: this role will start at minimum wage with the ability to earn more in the future with experience and time served
