We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Fractional Hiring Manager / Talent Acquisition Lead to embed within our team and take ownership of technical hiring during a key growth phase for Permutable.

The role
You will be embedded within the business, working directly with leadership to:
* Own and deliver the technical hiring strategy
* Act as a true hiring partner to founders, engineering, and product leadership
* Lead hiring across engineering, data, and product roles (e.g. backend, ML/AI, data engineering, platform, product)
* Build and optimise our technical hiring processes
* Execute hands-on sourcing, screening and interviewing of high-calibre technical talent
* Bring market insight, calibration, and rigour to technical hiring decisions
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience as a Head of Talent / Senior Talent Acquisition Lead with a strong technical hiring focus
* Track record hiring within fintech, trading, AI, or high-growth tech environments
* Deep experience hiring engineering, ML/AI, and data roles
* Comfortable partnering with technical stakeholders (CTO, engineers, product leaders)
* Able to balance strategy and hands-on delivery
* Experience building technical hiring processes from scratch or scaling them

* Initial 3–6 month engagement, with potential to extend
* London-based preferred, with some in-person collaboration
