An exciting opportunity has arisen within the West Caithness Health and Social Care Team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. The primary responsibility is to provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence. The post holder needs to be flexible and able to use their own initiative and will provide high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to the local community.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care in patients’ homes.
* Demonstrate flexibility and initiative in line with service needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience not required, but beneficial; full training will be provided and successful applicants may have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.
* A driving licence is essential and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes; a pool vehicle is available for rural areas.
* Fixed Term contract: 20.72 hours per week, to 30 October 2026, working on an 8:30am – 2:30pm, 4 days on/4 days off rota or as service requirements.
* This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland cannot provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
