GSL Education are currently recruiting committed and enthusiastic Full-Time Tutors across all subjects in Gateshead to provide 1:1 and small group intervention to students who require additional academic support. Whether you’re a qualified teacher, experienced tutor, or a subject specialist graduate, this is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in students’ lives across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Responsibilities:
* Support Individual Learning: Help implement personalised learning plans.
* Provide Targeted Support: Offer 1:1 and small group assistance tailored to student needs.
* Monitor Progress: Track student development and adjust support as required.
* Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with teachers, support teams, and parents/carers.
* Create a Positive Environment: Help build a space where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
* Engage Learners: Use a variety of strategies to maintain student interest and adapt to different learning styles.
* Keep Accurate Records: Maintain documentation of student progress and share insights with staff.
Requirements:
* A degree in your subject area or related field (essential).
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience (preferred).
* Strong subject knowledge and ability to differentiate instruction.
* Excellent communication, patience, and a proactive attitude.
* Willingness to travel to local schools or centres as needed.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
* Competitive daily rates of £110 - £175 (dependent on experience).
