What You’ll Be Doing:
As a vital member of our team, you will:
* Deliver expert consultation and process management support to a diverse range of stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Lead the facilitation of process development activities across the Submarines business.
* Provide timely and consistent guidance on Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards and legislation to support all organizational activities.
* Contribute to the development of an enhanced safety culture within the Submarines business while actively supporting the SHE improvement program.
* Maintain a professional interface with key stakeholders, including functional leads, regulatory bodies, contractors, and customers.
* Ensure the effective and timely delivery of all relevant elements of the Safety, Health, and Environment Operational Plan and Strategy across all submarine sites.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Proven background in developing and implementing robust management systems.
* Experience in drafting policy documents, official company codes, or formal documentation.
* Strong ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations, Approved Codes of Practice (ACoPs), and industry guidance.
* Possession of a NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent health and safety qualification.
Desirable:
* Skilled in delivering training and coaching to individuals or teams.
* Experience or understanding of data record retention practices and associated compliance requirements.

The Policy and Governance Team:
As a SHE Advisor, you will play a key role in one of the UK’s most advanced engineering programmes, providing expert SHE guidance to ensure the safe construction and successful delivery of the next generation of Nuclear Submarines. We also offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
