Key Areas of Practice
This rotational post is an excellent opportunity for a new or existing Band 5 to join our team. It is a full‑time, permanent position that will provide you with the chance to develop skills within four highly specialist areas:
* Hands and Plastics
* Burns, Plastics and Head and Neck
* MSK
* Neurological Outpatients and Community
Responsibilities
You will assess and treat a caseload of patients within both inpatient and outpatient settings to maximise patient recovery and function. You will attend handover meetings, in‑service training and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* You must have excellent clinical skills, be proactive and self‑motivated, and maintain a passion for delivering high standards of care.
* Provide a high‑standard physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.
* Assess, diagnose, plan and deliver individualized treatment programmes, holding responsibility for a caseload with minimal supervision.
* Participate in the on‑call physiotherapy service, receiving training prior to competency confirmation.
* Supervise, educate and assess therapy work experience/students to a graduate standard, providing feedback to senior staff.
* Contribute to the team’s development, training, audit and research programme.
* Ensure the maintenance of a high standard of service provision, maximising patient recovery and developing service quality.
