Salary: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour + 14.5% holiday pay

Welcome to Aurora Foxes, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities, situated in the friendly seaside town of Minehead. Foxes is a very special place. Our aim is to equip our young adults with life and hospitality skills to become work ready, life ready.
Our bank staff are able to choose what shift they want to take on, giving them a great deal of flexibility.
The main purpose of the role: As one of our Education Learning Support Practitioners you will assist our students during a range of sessions within our residential houses, classrooms and at Foxes Hotel. Your role is to help achieve our mission to equip young adults with learning disabilities to find sustainable employment in the hospitality sector and live independently.
Key duties
* Value and challenge all students, constantly raising expectations.
* Support students in their learning, enabling them to reach their full potential.
* Professionally manage student behaviour, seeking additional advice and guidance when appropriate.
* Help the tutor record, evidence, and evaluate each student's progress in every session.
* Creatively produce resources that support student progress.
* Respect the privacy (confidentiality) and dignity of all students and consistently adhere to equality and diversity policy.
* Be ready to diversify duties and lend a hand wherever required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Experience within a hospitality setting, either front‑of‑house or food preparation.
* Experience supporting in the care or education industry.
* Desirable: understanding of working with people with a disability.
* Level 2 in English and Maths.
* Level 3 qualification in education (desirable).

Successful applicants will be subject to pre‑employment safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS check.
