Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role (Monday–Friday) Weekly pay of up to £540 Opportunity to work within a Sefton borough primary school with strong inclusion practices Ongoing mentoring and training from experienced SEN and inclusion staff Excellent preparation for PGCE courses, SEN teaching roles, or psychology pathways Position starting ASAP until July 2026, with potential extension from September 2026 Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology, Education, or core subject degrees preferred) A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting SEN pupils Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively Previous experience with SEN, tutoring, youth work, or mentoring is advantageous but not required Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available) The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: In this role, you will support pupils aged 4–11 with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and social or emotional challenges. Responsibilities include providing 1:1 support, leading small intervention groups, and working alongside teachers to adapt lessons and resources so all pupils can engage successfully.
