The Role

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our Estates team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our staff, students, and apprentices, while driving compliance with Health & Safety legislation and embedding best practice across the College.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

As the College’s competent person, you will provide specialist advice and support to ensure our Health & Safety policies are effectively implemented. Your main duties will involve:

* Leading, developing, and maintaining College-wide Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on compliance across all areas of the College, including accident/incident investigations and RIDDOR reporting.
* Managing, supporting, and developing the Health & Safety team to deliver a proactive and professional service.
* Coordinating fire safety and evacuation procedures, including liaison with external agencies.
* Providing Health & Safety training, guidance, and updates for staff, students, apprentices, and Governors.
