Job Description
Closing date: 15 June 2026. An exciting opportunity for career development has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Hamilton Housing Team within Housing Services. As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of housing services to our customers. You should have similar experience working within a housing related environment and an understanding of current issues and legislation in relation to homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and dealing with anti‑social behaviour.
Responsibilities
Deliver a wide range of housing services including managing homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and addressing anti‑social behaviour. Provide expert advice on relevant legislation and best practice. Use IT skills to organise and prioritise workloads effectively, responding and adapting to changing priorities. Liaise effectively with a variety of agencies and communicate clearly with customers.
Qualifications
Proven experience within a housing related role. Knowledge of legislation and current housing issues. Excellent IT skills and the ability to organise and prioritise work. Strong communication and liaison skills.

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020 and is considered a Regulated Role with Adults, in respect of the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020. Applicants must join or update the PVG Scheme before formal offer.
