Overview
Licensed Mechanical Inspector (FAR) with £5000 Sign On Bonus in GAC Farnborough.
We are a regional service center supporting Gulfstream aircraft for ongoing maintenance and support. Our R&D through delivery to customers is done in the United States, with continued customer support around the globe.
Responsibilities
* Act as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 146, as revised.
* Perform the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of a Licensed Mechanical Senior Inspector when requested by a Service Team Manager.
* Manage manpower resources for licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters assigned to a specific aircraft line or base maintenance input, as requested by a Maintenance Team Leader or Service Team Manager.
* Certify tasks they have been trained on and authorized to perform, and inspect and certify at Farnborough main base and other locations worldwide. Carry out other maintenance tasks as requested by the Maintenance Team Leader; for base maintenance, this can include Category C Certification for those qualified under MOE Part 34.
* Promote and ensure maintenance commitments are fulfilled within the assigned timescale; inform the Maintenance Team Leader and Service Team Manager of delays as soon as possible.
* Ensure that all aircraft maintenance documentation for work performed or supervised is completed fully, including task stage requirements before the end of each shift or reassignment.
* Contribute to departmental goals related to product support, quality, and delivery; participate in handovers as required and attend Stand-up Board meetings as needed.
* Promote and ensure the quality of workmanship meets EASA and UK CAA standards, complying with statutory and company standards for maintenance and design change work, including cleanliness and tidiness of the work area.
* Perform other duties as assigned and any additional duties delegated by the STM or Department Manager.
Additional Functions
* Understand and communicate the strategic position of the department in relation to Product Support.
* Advise on difficulties or shortcomings in departmental duties; monitor department goals, product delivery and quality.
* Maintain personal and departmental standards to ensure ongoing success.
Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive combination of line and base maintenance experience.
* Evidence of aircraft inspection and certification experience.
* Experience within the corporate industry is an advantage.
* Good working knowledge of aviation legislation.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Good practical computer skills.
* Flexible approach to working patterns; well-organized daily task management.
* Other EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant aircraft Type Ratings; certification experience within an EASA Part 145 organisation.
