Job Description: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
The Estates Department provides comprehensive maintenance, repair, and installation services for the buildings, grounds, engineering services, and associated equipment across the Trust. The successful candidate must be flexible in working hours based on the Trust's needs.
Requirements include:
1. Served a recognized Mechanical or Building Services apprenticeship.
2. Gained extensive experience in building engineering services and plant maintenance.
3. Holds a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a mechanical maintenance environment.
4. Possesses a current UK (manual) driving licence and resides within half an hour's travel for on-call duties.
The role is Monday to Friday, with participation in an emergency on-call service and opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities include:
* Repairing mechanical equipment and performing planned maintenance, including but not limited to AHUs, calorifiers, water systems, and drainage systems.
* Working in plant and boiler rooms to conduct repairs and maintenance activities.
* Maintaining a tidy work area and escalating work requests appropriately.
* Participating in the mechanical call-out rota with flexibility.
Please note: If the role or service relocates, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement, as travel to the new site will be considered a normal commute. Other changes will be managed according to Trust or national terms and conditions.
