Typical Shifts are: Mon - Sun – days – Full time 37.5hrs per week – 2 x 8am-10pm shifts and 1 shift 8am-3pm/3pm to 10pm

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Specialist Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our new development to our existing residential service in Burnley. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!
Our residential service in Burnley is an existing service where we’re creating 2 self-contained apartments for people with Enhanced and Complex Care needs. We are recruiting a team for this exciting new development. Our Enhanced and Complex service is a supportive and specialist environment, and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be supporting individuals with behaviours of distress, autism and mental health needs. You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by integrating into the community, teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out in the local community, the next you could be unwinding with them in service doing activities of their choice!
As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
