Job Opportunity: SEMH Teaching Assistant Classroom-Based
Location: Longsight, Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: GBP108 - GBP(phone number removed) per day (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
* Assist in delivering tailored interventions and behaviour strategies
* Foster positive relationships and promote emotional regulation
* Support classroom routines and learning activities
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reviews
What Were Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA Level 2/3, Youth Work, Psychology) desirable
* Ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable learners
