IT Services Manager
What you’ll be doing
* Manage IT Providers: Oversee operational performance of IT partners and suppliers.
* Manage internal work provided by Capita teams.
* Ensure Contract Compliance: Make sure IT services meet the Royal Navy’s contractual requirements under SOR 3.1 SR6.
* Support IT Modernisation: Collaborate with change teams to ensure new IT services are fit for purpose and maintainable.
* Align IT with Business Goals: Understand Selborne’s strategy to support operational and commercial needs.
* Serve as the single point of contact for the Royal Navy, stakeholders, and IT providers on all operational and commercial matters.
* Monitor and Report Performance: Manage service issues, ensure reporting against SLAs/KPIs, and support escalation during major outages.
* Manage a small team.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Proven experience in IT Service delivery across a distributed supplier landscape including the implementation and ongoing use of ITIL.
* Must have experience delivering IT services in a defence/MOD environment.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Experience leading/managing a small team.
* Ability to manage a high demand workload and prioritise effectively in time‑bound situations.
About Selborne
Selborne is a six‑year transformation of Royal Navy training. The contract, worth £1 billion, was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortium, known as Team Fisher, includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, University of Lincoln and 14 other UK‑based suppliers.
