Do you have previous experience within the Food Packaging or Packaging sector, specifically as a Slitter Operator, Slitting, or Rewinder? If so, get in touch today, as we are actively seeking 2 Slitter Operators to join a well-established packaging manufacturer in Telford, Shropshire.
This role involves working rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (Monday to Thursday only, averaging 42 hours per week). The starting salary is GBP 30,500 per annum, which will increase to GBP 32,500 once fully trained.
The position also offers 2 monthly bonuses based on productivity (individual and company-wide), with the bonus amount varying each month.
What You Will Do
* Operate Slitter/Rewinder machinery to meet quality and specification standards.
* Set up and operate Core Cutting machinery for accurate and efficient production.
* Manage Bailer and Packing machinery to ensure high standards.
* Complete production and quality-related paperwork, utilizing IT systems for data capture.
* Collaborate with team members for support, training, and coverage as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to hygiene, quality, and safety standards.
What You Will Bring
* Hands-on experience operating Slitter, Rewinder, Core Cutter, and Packing machinery.
* Knowledge of process control and maintaining consistent machine performance.
* Familiarity with operating overhead hoists, hand trucks, and electric trucks.
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety protocols.
* A proactive approach to cleanliness and environmental standards.
