Academics is on the lookout for caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support primary schools across the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by helping them unlock their potential.
?? About the Role:
As a SEN TA, you'll work across a range of welcoming mainstream primary schools, offering tailored one-on-one or small group support to pupils with a variety of additional needs. Whether part-time or full-time, your support will be crucial in helping students feel confident, included, and empowered to succeed.
?? Key Responsibilities of a SEN TA:
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities
* Support teachers in delivering fun, structured, and inclusive lessons
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence
* Nurture pupils' social and emotional development
* Build strong, supportive relationships with children, staff, and parents
? What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred, but not essential)
* Patience, compassion, and a true understanding of different learning styles
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Confidence to manage behaviour calmly and effectively
* A flexible and adaptable mindset-you're ready for anything!
