This is a great opportunity if you are an aspiring teacher or even just looking for work as a teaching assistant in a school where Pupils behave well around school and are polite and friendly. This is a school where pupils’ attainment is constantly improving and the proportion of pupils attaining five A* to C grades including English and mathematics was above the national average.
Your primary job role as a teaching assistant will be to support pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and students that need additional support. The school are looking for somebody who will be comfortable when taking a group of students as you will be expected to provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions across a range of subjects and may be asked to lead small classes.
The school is just a few minutes drive away from the M60 Motorway and can easily be accessed from surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton, Wigan and Salford via public transport. This is an average sized secondary school with around 1000 students on the school roll.
