First Class Support provides academic support to students in receipt of disabled student allowance (DSA). We pride ourselves on only employing first class support specialists that are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people studying higher education courses across the UK.
Due to recent demand, we are looking to galvanise our team of highly qualified and experienced specialist support staff. There are currently positions available for Notetakers to provide support for students undergoing an exam.
This role is in Colchester - University of Essex
To support students who require notes to be taken on their behalf.
Notes should contain pertinent information from the session (and any questions and discussion if required), may include diagrams and may be referenced to any hand-outs. The notetaker must hand over notes in the agreed format within a specified time frame.
Your Skills:
You will have experience of working with students with disabilities mainly visual impairment and specific learning difficulties. You will have quick and accurate typing skills.
Qualifications/Training:
All candidates should ideally possess a good degree, as most support will be at higher education institutions.

Additional Information:
The working hours vary according to the needs of the student and the academic timetable. We are seeking support workers who are currently self-employed, or in the process of registering as a self-employed professional.
