I have been engaged by a huge UK business which is a real expert in its field. With over 1,000 employees across 9 sites UK-wide, this business provides an excellent support network to blend into. This operation is the best in class from a UK perspective, enjoying status as one of the largest meat processors across Europe. With over 40 years' worth of experience providing a service for the major UK multiples. An Operations Manager opportunity has arisen at a key site in Leicestershire which is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to step up from Production Management or a similar lower level. Equally, if you are a ready made Operations Manager looking to change environment, I'd be keen to chat. The site is small featuring a head count of around 80 staff. You will be overseeing four key departments: Technical, Engineering, HR, and Production with direct reports from each function. You will be reporting into the Operations Director who oversees a multi-site role based in Ireland. The location is a kill site, so this is important to remember. However, this role is more focused on People Management and strategy, so you will not consistently find yourself in that sort of environment. It is also worth remembering that you do not necessarily need to come from a Meat Processing background. A background in Food Manufacturing is essential but specific product category experience is more open. Key Role Details: £60k-£80k dependant on experience 28 Days Holiday (inclusive of banks) Mobile Phone provided If interested, I'd be keen to see a CV!
