To provide professional, innovative high quality, care and support to people with learning disabilities to ensure they live healthy, productive lives and are supported to achieve their full potential within all aspects of their lives.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
* Display compassion and sensitivity to the people who use our services’ and next of kin needs.
* Contribute towards a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
* Support the people who use our services to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development and implementation of an individual support plan.
* Identify problems and issues and work with the people who use our services to provide the most appropriate solutions to promote wellbeing for all.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience of supporting an individual with household tasks and/or providing emotional support.
* Knowledge and understanding of intellectual disability issues.
* To be willing to work various shifts, which may include days, nights, evenings and weekends.
