As The Senior Licensing Officer, You Will
* Lead a small team of Licensing Officers and Assistants, providing essential management and support.
* Offer technical advice and guidance on legal interpretations and procedural issues.
* Drive service improvements and ensure team members are well-informed about changes in legislation and policy.
* Handle complex cases, making informed decisions on enforcement actions and operational issues.
* Collaborate with the Licensing Service Manager to develop performance reports and continually enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of the licensing team, overseeing recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
* Interpret complex legal requirements related to licensing and guide team members in appropriate actions.
* Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems ensuring legal compliance.
* Engage with stakeholders, providing expert advice and promoting effective communication.
* Represent the organization at internal and external meetings, advocating for the Council's interests.

* A relevant degree or equivalent experience in licensing processes and procedures.
