The Role of the Operations Manager
8. Lead and coordinate all operational teams including production, laboratory services, site services, and logistics
9. Ensure efficient delivery of calibration gases, gas testing, and inspection services on time and to the highest standards
10. Manage a £1.5m operations budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring optimal resource use
11. Track KPIs and take action to maintain performance, using dashboards to support planning and forecasting
12. Oversee supplier relationships, from sourcing to payment approvals
13. Recruit, coach, and develop team members to support internal growth and succession
14. Act as the lead contact for customer delivery issues, resolving queries to uphold the company's reputation for service excellence
15. Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards, including UKAS accreditations
16. Collaborate with innovation teams to assess new instrumentation opportunities and explore new markets
17. Maintain strong industry knowledge and build relationships with key partners and stakeholders
