Role Overview
As a Floor Manager at JD Sports, you will play a key role in delivering the JD experience, supporting the smooth running of the shop floor and ensuring every customer walks away feeling valued. You will support daily operations, lead by example on the sales floor, and help develop a confident, motivated team. You’ll bring energy, organisation, and a passion for great service, making sure the store looks sharp, runs efficiently, and reflects the standards JD is known for. This role requires confident, hands‑on leadership, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to motivate your team to deliver their best.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding JD service standards, ensuring every customer receives fast, friendly, and professional support.
* Drive commercial performance through effective shop‑floor execution, including merchandising, replenishment, and motivating the team.
* Lead and develop colleagues to maintain high performance, strong engagement, and consistent adherence to JD policies and processes.
* Support day‑to‑day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organised shop‑floor environment.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous supervisory experience in a fast‑paced retail or customer‑facing environment.
* Strong communication and leadership skills with proven experience supporting and developing team members.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high operational and visual standards.
* Solid commercial awareness with an understanding of how daily actions contribute to store KPIs and performance.

* Passionate about the JD brand, retail trends, and delivering a standout customer experience.
* Energetic, hands‑on leader who thrives in a busy and dynamic environment.
* Confident problem solver with strong customer‑resolution skills.
