About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Yard Shunter to join our client's operation in Bellshill, ML4. As a Yard Shunter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers around the yard using a Class 1 vehicle, supporting the logistics and transportation teams to keep the supply chain running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shunt trailers and vehicles around the yard.
* Ensure correct trailer positioning for loading and unloading
* Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects or safety issues
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
* Assist with other yard-based duties as required
Requirements:
* Class 1 (C+E) driving license is essential
* Previous experience operating a yard shunter or similar vehicle
* Knowledge of yard safety procedures and regulations
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
