Senior Building Surveyor - London Role Overview MAC Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Leeds office. This is a senior, client-facing role delivering high-quality building consultancy services across a diverse range of projects. You will provide technical leadership, manage client relationships, and support the development of junior team members. Responsibilities Deliver professional building surveying services including condition surveys, defect diagnosis and technical reporting Lead refurbishment, maintenance and remedial works projects from inception to completion Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employers Agent under JCT contracts Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation Provide strategic advice on asset condition, compliance and lifecycle planning Manage client relationships and provide clear reporting and advice Mentor and support junior surveyors, graduates and APC candidates Qualifications/ Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline MRICS (or actively working towards with relevant experience) Strong knowledge of UK construction methods and building pathology Proven consultancy experience Excellent communication and leadership skills What We're Looking For Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects Accuracy and due diligence in professional outputs Effective communication across all levels, including leading meetings Teamwork and collaboration to foster a positive work environment Commitment to knowledge development and industry best practice Excellent time management to meet client deadlines Role Challenges & Aim Youll be expected to work independently with minimal assistance, lead client projects, and either hold or be working towards APC qualification.
