What you'll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer
1. Ensure the quality and compliance of wastewater (Non-infra) construction projects across Thames Valley.
2. Conduct regular site inspections (3-4 days a week), support design and delivery reviews, identify risks and issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to solve problems.
3. Focus on the construction phase of wastewater (Non-infra) projects by assessing and reporting project progress, rectifying issues, assisting project managers, and leading escalation processes when necessary. Ensure all non-conformance issues are identified and corrected.
4. Review documentation (RAMS, CPP, etc.), oversee all construction activities from conception to completion, and monitor compliance with asset standards, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
5. Post-takeover, manage snagging, documentation, liaise on defects, and oversee performance testing.
6. Contribute actively to project teams and ensure proper handover documentation.
7. Carry out regular health and safety audits to ensure issues are addressed.
Location & Working Arrangements: Hybrid role based in Thames Valley. You must be on-site 3-4 days a week, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A valid driver's license and access to a car are required; this role includes a car allowance of £4,500 annually.
What you should bring to the role
* HNC or higher in an engineering subject or similar background.
* Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites; SMSTS qualification is a plus and can be provided if not held.
* Understanding of design, construction, and operations within relevant industries.
* Experience in project delivery and integration within construction sectors.
* Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
* Valid driver's license with a clean record.
* Wastewater experience is advantageous.

Salary & Benefits:
* Salary from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.
