Job Description:
We're looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Manager to lead our R6/IP/ConX operations within the Specialist Engineering Group (SEG). In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for driving operational delivery through your leadership of Project Managers and Team Managers, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance across our gas operations. Job Purpose: Accountable to the Head of the Specialist Engineering Group for the coordination and delivery of R6/IP/ConX operations, and specifically the management of R6/IP/ConX Project Managers (PM) and Team Managers (TM) and their gas operations Teams. The role involves setting operational requirements (derived from the operational plan), maintaining momentum in achieving targets/goals, and ensuring compliance, safety, efficiency, and cost-effective utilization of JDT assets.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Direction, management, and administration of the R6/IP group's Project Managers and gas ops Teams (such as starters' packs, monitoring qualifications/competences/training needs, Team holiday plan, etc.).
2. Delivery of the operational plan as directed by the Plans Dept to achieve targets and KPIs.
3. Point of Contact (POC) with Plans Dept for R6/IP delivery to ensure situational awareness and reduce reactive activity.
4. Oversight and direction of R6/IP Project Manager's engagement in the planning process (familiarity with MS Projects), ensuring Project Manager's end-to-end ownership of projects and delivery of their tasks (e.g., Due Diligence, resource planning, construction phase planning, TM development and coordination, client and LA liaison, site clearances, etc.).
5. Ensure maximum use of PULSE as the primary project planning, management, and reporting tool, with timely data input from Project Managers and gas ops Teams.
6. Coordinate with supporting functions (e.g., Customer Care, Plans, Reinstatement) and liaise with internal departments to meet R6/IP Teams' requirements, ensuring resource use is cost-effective and within budgets.
7. Oversight of R6/IP engineering and safety standards to ensure compliance and a safe working environment, including audits, assurance checks, training, toolbox talks, CAT training, etc.
8. Reinforce application of JDT Policies and procedures, conduct staff inductions as required.
9. Processing and timely submission of financial elements (POs, CIPs, invoices, day works, VOs, etc.), managing R6/IP Compensation Events and Damage Reporting inputs (SOPs 801 & 803). Serve as POC for GPL queries.
10. Mentoring and professional development of Project Managers.
11. Participation in internal, client, and LA planning and coordination meetings.
12. Deputise for the Head of R6/IP Operations as directed.
