JOB PURPOSE The Team Leader positions is responsible for the day to supervision of their designated area, ensuring that all product is moved, stored, inspected and accurately meets customers expectations. They are also there to lead the team and set an example of what is expected from the business and overall department. This person should be the main focal point within the department and responsible for most firefighting issues that arise and also the majority of the personnel issues which arise each day. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Day to day supervision of the team ensuring that KPIs are achieved and driven Ensuring product that does not meet specification does not get to the customer Contribute ideas, and encourage others to identify opportunities for further improvements resulting in better Quality of product manufactured Ensure all jobs (and paperwork) are completed and to the required standard and quality control standards are understood and adhered to. Monitor general housekeeping and health and safety in their area and continuously improve via implementation of 5S workplace organisation. Carry out return to work interviews liaising with their manager on issues Monitor time keeping within their areas Carry out Toolbox talks with their teams when required Carry out probations and appraisals with the support of their line manager Take part in Disciplinary investigations when required Take an active role in the tracking meetings within their areas Monitor compliance with H&S rules, raise any Health & Safety concerns with Management and proactively take action to minimise risks Share knowledge with other team members, train where required, encourage others by having a constructive and positive attitude in the workplace. Be a role model in demonstrating the expected company working practices and behaviours, monitor others and escalate if they are not living the Values. Provide on the job training for all staff members and ensure that they are trained to the required standard for the role being undertaken. When required assist in the manufacture/Inspection of product MEASURES OF SUCCESS/KPIs Achieving the KPIs set for Quality and also Output Excellent time and task management, leading by example.
