Responsibilities
* Review and summarise complex reports to support decision‑making
* Interpret monitoring data and model outputs to protect water quality
* Use data to inform and refine oceanic water‑quality models
* Apply sound records‑management principles and maintain data integrity
* Communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences and elevate challenges when necessary
* Build strong relationships across a dispersed team and with external partners
* Contribute to incident‑response duties, receiving full training and support; additional payment and flexible arrangements may apply
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline; professional membership (or working towards) preferred
* Experience in data analysis; knowledge of modelling software is desirable
* Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Access, R, Power BI, GIS, and specialist packages (e.g., Mike, Cormix)
* Comfortable working virtually and travelling for occasional national meetings
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional teams
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and achieve results within a flexible environment

Position Details
Two positions available – one permanent and one fixed term (6 months). The role is national with a flexible/hybrid work arrangement.
